One Pot Baked Beans


Ingredients

4 cans of beans

8 Tbsp molasses

4 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

4 tsp worcestershire sauce

8 Tbsp maple syrup

1 medium sweet onion, diced'

1/2 tsp salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic

powder

3 oz tomato paste

Instructions

Drain and rinse beans

Dice onion

Place all ingredients in pot (we use

cast iron)

Simmer for 3 hours, or longer

Chef's Tips

While this does not have sugar, it is

sweetened with molasses and maple

syrup. We try to use local maple

syrup! If you prefer baked beans that

are less sweet, you can cut the

molasses in half.

We use cast iron (and stainless steel)

in our kitchen to avoid harmful

chemicals that can leach into our

food. “Forever chemicals” called PFAS

have been linked to cancer and

hormonal disruption. No thanks!
