Angel Pie Recipe

This is a mother recipe instead of a grandmother recipe.

My mom sent this to me when I was in college (see the photo, an e-mail exchange in my senior year of college). I believe the original was a magazine cut-out.

We've been loving this pie ever since!

Like most recipes we enjoy, it's easy.

It's delicious. The almond extract is so delicious and doesn't taste at all like eating raw almonds.

This time, I made a homemade graham cracker crust 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature for at least 1 hour (I usually let it sit longer to make for easier mixing).

Angel Pie Recipe Ingredients:

Ingredients:

8 oz. cream cheese - softened (just let it sit out for an hour or so)

3/4 to 1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp: vanilla extract

1 tsp. almond extract

1/2 pint (1 cup) heavy whipping cream

1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker pie crust

Servings:

Serves 6 to 8

Supplies:

Mixing bowl

I use a hand mixer

Pre-made graham crust or pan with homemade graham crust

  2. Then add whipping cream, sugar

  3. Followed by the extracts

  4. Pour into pie crust

  5. Put in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours or the freezer for 1-2 hours

  6. (I love putting it in the freezer for a nice firm pie, once we start eating it then I let it live in the fridge)

  7. We put berries on top and enjoy!

STEPS:

Mix the cream cheese alone first

Followed by the extracts

Pour into pie crust

Put in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours or the freezer for 1-2 hours. We put berries on top and enjoy!
